At Avahi Technologies, we take pride in our commitment to delivering top-tier cloud solutions to our clients. Recently, our collaboration with MasterWorks, a renowned company assisting Christian ministries across America, has been a testament to our dedication and expertise. We are humbled by the appreciation received and would like to share our experience of this successful partnership.
This blog walks you through the challenges, processes, and results of the AWS migration process in brief. Read through!
The challenges faced by MasterWorks
MasterWorks approached us with a specific challenge: they needed to migrate their machine learning application from a hosted SaaS platform to AWS’s Amazon SageMaker, all within a tight eight-week window. The application, which gauges the likelihood of an organization’s members donating to specific fundraising campaigns, is crucial for MasterWorks’ operations. The migration was not just about moving data but about ensuring seamless functionality, cost-effectiveness, and enhanced performance.
Avahi’s Result-Oriented Process
Our team, leveraging our cloud-first strategy, successfully migrated the 200 models used by 35 of MasterWorks’ clients to Amazon SageMaker. The migration led to a significant reduction in MasterWorks’ hosting and usage costs by approximately 75%. Moreover, the processes to train new models and run inferences became faster in the AWS environment, providing MasterWorks with an edge in their operations.
We are genuinely honored by the trust and appreciation MasterWorks has shown towards our team. Milo McDowell, Sr. Vice President of Operations at MasterWorks, remarked on our commitment: “From the developer to the project manager and the CEO, Avahi impressed us with their commitment to delivering the project on time. We did not feel like we were taking a risk with Avahi” Such words of praise motivate us to strive for excellence in every project we undertake.
Furthermore, the detailed solution documentation we provided was highlighted as a significant asset, enabling MasterWorks engineers to easily cross-train and build models. “Our engineers refer to the documentation if they have questions relating to the resources, and we can more easily cross-train other engineers on our internal team,” McDowell added.
Final Thoughts
At Avahi Technologies, we believe in the power of collaboration and innovation. Our partnership with MasterWorks and AWS exemplifies our dedication to providing the best cloud solutions tailored to our clients’ needs. We are grateful for the opportunity to work with such a visionary company as MasterWorks and are thrilled by the successful results of our collaboration.
